It\u2019s a craft or art technique of looping yarn, ribbon or floss through the fabric. For me it\u2019s another way to do embroidery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two different kinds of stitches you can do with your punch needle: the flat stitch when you punch from the front, or the long loop when you punch from the back. Flat stitches can be small or long. It depends on your fabric, your design, your needle and your yarn. You can have different kinds of long loops. Some punch needles are adjustable so you can play with short or long loops. Pour moi, cette technique est un moyen de faire de la broderie, diff\u00e9rent et compl\u00e9mentaire des techniques traditionnelles, comme le point de croix.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Il existe deux sortes de points que vous pouvez r\u00e9aliser avec cette technique : le point plat qui se fait quand vous piquez sur le devant, et le point de boucle qui se fait sur le devant quand vous piquez sur l\u2019arri\u00e8re.<br>Les points plats peuvent \u00eatre courts ou plus grands suivant la taille de votre aiguille, de votre fils, de votre tissu et de l\u2019intervalle que vous laissez entre deux points. Pour ce qui est du point de boucle, il peut \u00eatre plus ou moins long suivant le punch needle que vous utilisez. Certains punch needle sont ajustables ce qui vous permet de jouer avec des volumes de boucles. Et chaque point peut \u00eatre d\u00e9clin\u00e9 en plusieurs variantes. The flat stitch is good for lines and for surfaces. The long loop stitch is a perfect way to create volume on your work. It can give a fluffy looking and it can cover surface faster than the flat stitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first picture is the front and the second picture is the back. Le point plat sera parfait pour tracer des lignes ou pour remplir minutieusement des surfaces. Le point de boucle est, quant \u00e0 lui, fait pour cr\u00e9er du volume sur votre ouvrage. Il peut \u00e9galement servir \u00e0 donner un effet duveteux et moelleux. Il vous servira aussi \u00e0 remplir des surfaces plus rapidement que le point plat.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>La premi\u00e8re photo est une vue du devant et la seconde une vue du dos de votre pi\u00e8ce. Vus sur l\u2019envers, les r\u00f4les s\u2019inversent : le point plat devient un point de boucle et le point de boucle devient un point plat.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The flat stitch &#8211; <em>Le point plat<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Push the punch needle through the fabric, until it stops. It\u2019s important that your needle stay all the time touching the surface of the fabric. Slide the needle for few millimeters and push the punch needle again through the fabric. Now repeat and cut the yarn when you need to use a new color. To make it easier, you can hold, not pull, the loops on the back, that way you are sure that the stitch you just made is not going to pop out (that&rsquo;s pretty annoying).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Vous pouvez ensuite relever d\u00e9licatement votre punch needle pour qu\u2019il ressorte de la toile. Faites-le glisser de quelques millim\u00e8tres, puis plantez-le \u00e0 nouveau dans le tissu et ainsi de suite. C\u2019est tr\u00e8s important que votre punch needle ne s\u2019\u00e9loigne pas de la toile et reste en contact avec elle, de fa\u00e7on \u00e0 ne pas d\u00e9tendre le fils. R\u00e9p\u00e9tez cette \u00e9tape autant que vous le d\u00e9sirez. Quand vous avez fini, coupez votre fils sur l\u2019envers de votre ouvrage.
